PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Freeway Office Park development is made up of 8 separate two and three storey office buildings spread across a purpose-designed subdivision. Each building is carefully designed to suite the respective owner/tenant and all contain a generous amount of basement car parking.

STRUCTURAL SYSTEM

Reinforced concrete two way spanning suspended floor slabs were designed to span between concrete columns and loadbearing concrete masonry perimeter walls. Structural steel has been incorporated in the roof design and forms part of the signature raking angled soffits to the perimeter of the buildings.

SIGNIFICANT ASPECTS

For structural efficiency wherever possible the carpark column grid has been continued up through the upper floors, which eliminates costly load transfer structures.
For construction efficiency similar structural aspects are utilised throughout all buildings, which helps to speed up the construction process through a more streamlined approach.
